Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly and provide outstanding service to enhance their shopping experience
- Assist customers with product inquiries, demonstrations, and recommendations to boost sales through upselling techniques
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately for transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Maintain merchandise presentation by merchandising displays, stocking shelves, and ensuring the store remains tidy and inviting
- Conduct product demos to educate customers about features and benefits of various items
- Manage inventory levels by stocking shelves and participating in regular stock checks
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries or assisting customers remotely
Requirements
- Prior experience in retail sales or customer service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm and a positive attitude are essential
- Strong communication skills, including bilingual abilities, are highly valued to serve diverse customer needs
- Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math calculations, and POS transactions
- Familiarity with grocery store operations or retail environments is a plus
- Supervising experience is advantageous for those interested in leadership opportunities within the team
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for extended periods, stocking shelves, and moving merchandise efficiently
