Position Overview
The Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing masonry projects from award through final closeout. This role requires strong communication skills, field awareness, planning ability, and a proactive mindset. The PM works closely with Estimators, the Operations Manager, General Superintendent, Foremen, General Contractors, and Suppliers to ensure every project is delivered safely, efficiently, and profitably.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead project startup: estimator handoff, scope review, buyout, Requests for Information (RFI), submittals, budgets, Schedule of Value (SOV) setup
- Manage procurement, purchase orders, and material/equipment deliveries
- Conduct foreman handoff and provide ongoing field support
- Oversee schedules, manpower planning, productivity, Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC), and safety compliance
- Maintain project documentation: drawings, Change Order Requests (COR), billings, cost tracking, and financial projections
- Handle change orders, client communication, meetings, and reporting
- Manage monthly billing and percent-complete tracking
- Complete project closeout documents
Qualifications
- 2 years in commercial construction (masonry experience preferred)
- Ability to read drawings, specs, and blueprints
- Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills
- Experience with Bluebeam, Excel, CAD, or Tradesmen’s (preferred)
- Degree in Construction Management is a plus
