JOB DESCRIPTION:
BSI Paving is a leading asphalt paving and concrete company seeking an experienced Asphalt Foreman to join our team. We are looking for an Asphalt Foreman with a proven ability to lead their crew with respect and compassion while also producing the highest quality outcomes, improved efficiencies, and high crew morale. This is a dynamic position with elevated expectations and immense responsibility. The right candidate will be expected to excel in all aspects of this position. RESPOSIBILITIES:
-Train and lead your crew as a dignified leader with high expectations and a measured approach.
-Maintain an orderly crew by assigning tasks based on job requirements and crew capabilities.
-Hold crew personnel accountable for attendance, equipment care, tools, trucks, and other responsibilities
-Calculate the required quantity of asphalt and aggregate based on project specifications.
-Schedule deliveries to avoid delays and minimize downtime while ensuring the material remains at the correct application temperature.
-Facilitate crew meetings, safety briefings, and on-the-job training.
-Track production schedules, worker hours, material usage, and create daily reports.
-Address and resolve crew issues to maintain morale and productivity.
-Communicate clearly with suppliers to confirm order details, including tonnage and any specific requirements.
-Coordinate crew schedules, equipment, and material deliveries to align with project timelines.
REQUIREMENTS:
-Proven experience as an Asphalt Foreman with 5-10 years of industry experience, 2-3 minimum as an asphalt paving foreman.
-Knowledge of asphalt mix designs, paving operations, and equipment operations.
-Ability to interpret project plans and specifications.
-Strong communication and teamwork skills.
-Commitment to safety and adherence to industry best practices.
-Physical ability to operate heavy equipment for extended periods of time.
-Availability of flexible working hours, including overtime and some weekends.
-Commercial driver’s license (chauffeurs) required, CDL-A preferred.
