About BSI LLC
Brass Smith Innovations is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer / CAD Engineer to translate architectural concepts into manufacturable engineering drawings for custom foodservice equipment used by national restaurant brands.
You’ll work closely with project managers, engineers, and production teams to design custom stainless steel assemblies, food shields, counters, and integrated systems that move directly from engineering into fabrication.
This is an ideal role for someone who enjoys hands-on manufacturing environments and solving real-world design challenges.
What You’ll Do
- Create detailed engineering drawings using SolidWorks / Pro-Engineering
- Translate architectural and submittal drawings into manufacturable designs
- Engineer custom solutions including countertops, food shields, electrical, and lighting components
- Partner with Project Management and Production to ensure designs meet project schedules
- Troubleshoot design issues and support manufacturing teams
- Contribute to continuous improvement and new product development
What We’re Looking For
- Experience in manufacturing, fabrication, construction, or engineering environments
- Creo or SolidWorks experience preferred
- Strong understanding of engineering drawings and fabrication processes
- Problem-solving mindset with strong communication skills
