Your Responsibilities
The Brand Designer, Kitchens leads the creative direction and execution of Thermador’s retail display kitchens, partnering with dealer networks to design immersive, high-impact spaces that elevate the brand’s presence in the luxury market. This role blends expertise in kitchen and spatial design with deep knowledge of CAD, 3D rendering, and architectural principles to ensure displays are both visually compelling and technically precise, enhancing product visibility and brand distinction across retail environments.
- Partner with Trade Marketing and Sales to ensure brand guideline compliance for all display tiers are prescriptively represented in the brand designs
- Interact with Sales, Trade, dealers, and display vendors to ensure the successful execution of dealer display projects
- Design/review display floor plans, elevations, and 3D renders ensuring accurate product specifications and brand requirements
- Create specifications as assigned, including CAD drawings, blueprints, 3D models, and hand sketches that illustrate detailed plans in conjunction with dealer display vendors to enhance the appearance and functionality of Thermador appliance packages in adherence with the brand guidelines
- Provide recommendations for optimizing space and amplifying brand presence for all display tiers
- Recommend/evaluate material selections to ensure compliance with brand standards and propose alternatives as needed
- Works with Trade and dealer display vendors to propose cost effective recommendations that meet brand standards to optimize resources
- Approve final display floorplans and material selections ensuring adherence of brand guidelines
- Work with the internal Brand team members to ensure that the National Display vendor and Styling Vendor effectively implement and adhere to all brand guidelines, styling and signage for all display tiers, activations, and events
- Remain current on industry innovations and trends and propose implementations accordingly
- Collaborate with brand team to amplify dealer initiatives and brand campaigns, as assigned
- Direct the Global digital asset internal team to create digital kitchen renders for various marketing initiatives in adherence to brand guidelines
- Present Design concepts to key stakeholders, dealers and project vendors
- Collaborate & verify with cross functional teams to provide the brand point of view and offer feedback in relation to brand design and/or installation specifications
- Partners with cross functional teams to advise on materials selections and brand signage for new EDC construction and improvement projects
- Partner with Sales and merchandising team to provide design solutions for new products and retail display modifications
- Periodically conduct design and/or inspection visits for high visibility display projects
- Engage in regular communication with the Brand Visual Experience Partner to address both daily operational needs and complex topics.
- Escalate issues as needed to the Brand Visual Experience Partner to ensure timely resolution.
- Bachelor’s degree (Kitchen Design, Interior Design) – Required
- 5-7 Years of Experience (Kitchen Design Experience) – Required
- Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, 20-20 Design, or similar) for creating plans and 3D renderings
- Proven ability to meticulously create floorplans, elevations, and 3D renders
- Ability to apply understanding of design principles, including color theory, spatial arrangement, and brand aesthetics
- Experience with plumbing, electrical systems and cabinet specifications in kitchen design
- Well-versed in residential design environments as built in a commercial retail environment
- Knowledge of construction and manufacturing standards with relation to design
- Understanding of construction documents and specifications
- Exceptional attention to detail to ensure accurate installations and development of luxury kitchen displays
- Strong understanding of kitchen materials, including cabinetry, finishes, flooring, countertops, lighting, and fixtures
- Working knowledge of Thermador appliances and relationship to competitive brands available in the appliance industry (a bonus)
- Requires minimal supervision
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Excellent presentation skills with the ability to articulate the brand design vision to key stakeholders, dealers and project vendors
- Must demonstrate good judgement and discretion with confidential information
- Experience working with luxury brands
- Existing knowledge, kitchen & appliance industry and/or retail design and dealer requirements
- Travel Percentage – 10%
