BSH Home Appliances Corporation seeks Manager, Cc Gas Cooktops at its facility located at 100 Bosch Blvd, New Bern, NC 28562. Responsible for the effective and efficient operation of Development processes. Coordination of activities between internal departments, other facilities with the organization as well as vendors. Coordinate project milestone activities with the group with focus on time/cost and quality. Responsibilities include conveying the company goals, plans and objectives to all members of the group and the relevance of their role within the organization. In addition to new product development, work on quality improvements, cost reduction projects innovative technologies and provide support for Customer Service and other BSH factories. Establish and maintain a continuous interaction and collaboration with the Gas Cooktop and Ventilation Development Centers, utilizing their much larger Development network to help augment our efforts in the US. Lead the development team in accordance with BSH PDP (Engineering Development Guideline) and deadlines, coordinate team activities and pre-production builds, make necessary decisions, ensure compliance all product standards (BSH, Agency, and other) are adhered to maintained to throughout project from concept through production, and other project management functions. Lead the design development reviews with Designers, Manufacturing, Industrial Design, and Service. The reviews include concept/alternate designs, DFMEA/DFMA development, and progress of design and final BSH and Agency acceptance. Direct the design of the OEM and fabricated parts and assemblies. Lead team that handles multiple projects with different scopes and requirements at the same time. Lead and/or participate in collaborative efforts with other BSH facilities globally for new product development and share best practices as relevant and required for projects. Coordinate development efforts within the group and manage obtaining the support required from other departments. Provide direction, development and performance evaluations for direct reports. Develop RNA module strategy and communicate the strategy to the global module owners. Bring in regional market/consumer needs into the global module strategies. Communicate globally about costing/supplier selection/potential ratio projects. Plan and coordinate team resources to support Roadmap Projects and Production in Pre-Pilot, Pilot and initial production for Ratio, TCR and Sustaining Topics. Role will manage 11 subordinates. REQS: This position requires an associate’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering Technology or a related field and 7 years of experience as a Development Engineer, Development Part Project Leader, or occupation involving the usage of Teamcenter, NX Unigraphics within the home appliances Industry. Additionally, the applicant must have employment experience with: (1) FMEA and risk assessment; (2) ANSI and CSA Standards (UL 858/CSA C22.2 No 61 and ANSI Z21.1/Can1-1.1); (3) Troubleshooting and analytical skills using 6 Sigma and Lean Manufacturing tools; (4) Literature research and constructive use of consultants; (5) Developing components and appliances within the global architectures; and (6) Global architecture for surface and ventilation products. 30 % international or domestic travel. Telecommuting: Hybrid, 2 days per week home office is allowed. WAGE RANGE: $153,358 - $168,129.
