Bartender

Grafton Cocktail & Food Lounge is looking to secure Part-time weekday/weekend experienced bartenders, Specifically to help with daytime openings and occasional covering of weekend evening shifts.

We are looking to hire a hard-working, self-motivated, and high-energy individuals to join our staff. Hourly pay is $10 - $12; but can potentially earn up to $35/hr (or more!) with tips.

Starting wage is $10 an hour, must be fully cross trained on Barista functions within 30 days to be bumped up to $12 an hour.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers as they enter
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, and method of preparation and ingredients.
• Cross trained on Barista functions to make and prepare all coffee side items.
• Market, sell, and serve all menu items.
• Receive and process payments (cash and credit cards)
• Receive and serve beverage orders, while providing excellent customer service.
• Open and maintain tabs throughout their shift
• Knowledge of mixology for traditional and creative cocktails
• Understanding of unique and complementary flavor pairings
• Build a rapport with regular customers to create a positive atmosphere
• Comply with all safety and sanitation ordinances.
• Comply with all state liquor laws and regulations.
• Complete side work which includes stocking, wiping down counters and tables, etc.
• Stock areas with clean linen, glassware, and silverware.
• Respond to the needs and requests of the guests. Keep work areas clean and organized.
• Report all unsafe conditions immediately.
• Complete other duties as assigned by supervisor to include cross-training.
• Regular and reliable attendance and punctuality are essential functions of this position.
• Treating others with respect and behaving in a manner that is positive, productive and encourages teamwork at all times is an essential function of this job.
• Communicate customer feedback to managers and recommend new menu items

Physical Description/Working Conditions

• Lift and carry drink trays, beverage containers, glass racks, etc. average weight of 5-75lbs frequently, maximum weight frequently 100lbs.
• Standing/walking up to two miles per day on cement, tile, asphalt, and carpet.
• Reaching/overhead extension to pull items down.
• Pushing and pulling handcarts weight frequently 5-75lbs, maximum weight 100lbs.
• Repetitive motions of bending, kneeling, stooping, and twisting.
• Working with and exposed to fumes, chemicals, vibrations, humidity, cold, heat, dust, and noise.
• Working with and around types of kitchen equipment (e.g., knives, peelers, dehydrator).
• Must adhere to the BSG safety standards and procedures; hearing, eye, hand protection for equipment operation.

Skills

• Previous work experience as a Bartender, Preferably has experience with craft cocktails, craft beers & Upselling bourbons/whiskeys
• Previous work experience as a Barista is a plus but not mandatory. must be willing and excited to learn all barista side functions.
• Hands-on experience with bar equipment
• Knowledge of sanitation regulations
• Available to work flexible hours, which could include afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Basic math skills
• Ability to gauge customers' preferences
• Excellent communication skills; Reading, writing, and oral proficiency in the English language
• High school diploma or relevant training is a plus

Minimum Qualifications

• Valid Serve Safe Bartending license for State of Wisconsin and County
• Cash handling experience.
• Minimum of 1 year Bartending experience, with Craft Cocktail Knowledge.

Job Type: Full/Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour base

Cocktail Lounge

Schedule:

• 6 - 10 hour shifts
• Hours of Operation are Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday 11am – 10pm; Friday & Saturday 11am - 11pm, Sunday 11am - 8pm,
• 6 days a week, Closed on Mondays
• Only Holidays Closed are Thanksgiving Day & Christmas Day
• Must be available to work all other Holidays
