Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and analysis of comprehensive financial statements in accordance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
- Oversee all aspects of general ledger accounting, including account reconciliation, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliation to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes, ensuring timely processing and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls, including SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act) compliance, to safeguard organizational assets and ensure regulatory adherence.
- Supervise cash management activities, including forecasting, banking relationships, and liquidity analysis to optimize cash flow.
- Prepare detailed financial reports for internal stakeholders and external regulators, ensuring clarity and transparency in financial concepts and analysis.
- Oversee payroll processing using advanced accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or Xero while ensuring compliance with applicable regulations.
- Conduct regular financial analysis and account analysis to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for cost savings or process improvements.
- Support budgeting processes by providing accurate data forecasts and variance analyses to inform strategic decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with non-profit accounting standards or governmental accounting requirements where applicable.
Education
- High school or equivalent education required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related area preferred.
Experience
- Four to six years related experience, including at least four years of supervisory experience.
- Prior experience with whole ownership hotel/resort required.

Pay: $90,288.61 - $110,100.26 per year
