- BSA Hospital is a 445-bed hospital serving the Amarillo area for over 120 years and continues to be Amarillo’s preferred healthcare provider. At BSA, the focus is to provide quality healthcare in Christian love, service and dignity.
- The Charge Nurse assumes the responsibility and accountability for the delegation and coordination of patient care for a shift.
- She/he provides leadership to the staff by working cooperatively with the nursing staff and other members of the healthcare team to assure that care is given through utilization of the nursing process.
Job Requirements:
- Graduate of Accredited School of Nursing.
Current license as an RN in the state of Texas
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
- ACLS and PALS within 90 days of hire
- Minimum 2 years of acute care experience.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Prior leadership or charge nurse experience
- 2-3 years of experience in a hospital setting as a staff nurse
