Responsibilities
- Ability to perform all abdominal and small parts, OB, Gyn, and pediatric ultrasounds as well as invasive procedures.
- Operate sonography equipment to produce images of specified areas of the body and perform related technical functions utilizing ultrasound imaging principles.
- Demonstrate the technical skills necessary to provide outstanding image quality for all abdominal and small parts, OB /Gyn, and pediatric ultrasounds.
- Exhibit knowledge and skills for providing imaging guidance during invasive procedures.
- Perform imaging in accordance with recommended safe patient practices.
- Prepare exam rooms, equipment, supplies, and medications.
- Provide safe patient care and excellent customer service to all patient populations.
- Possess excellent critical thinking skills along with the ability to work in a high-volume and fast-paced environment.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, physicians, and in intra- and inter-departmental situations.
- Additional responsibilities as designated by the Diagnostic Imaging leadership team
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- ARRT (R) or ARDMS.
BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Two (2) years of related experience.
- Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology.
