Responsibilities
- The Director of Quality and Infection Prevention leads the development, implementation, and evaluation of the hospital’s quality, patient safety, performance improvement, and infection prevention programs.
- This role ensures compliance with regulatory and accreditation requirements and promotes a culture of clinical excellence, continuous improvement, and patient-centered care.
- The Director provides strategic direction and operational oversight to drive improvements in clinical outcomes, infection control, and overall healthcare quality.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration, or related clinical field
- RN preferred
- Current Texas RN license if applicant is a nurse.
- Certification in Infection Control (CIC) required or obtained within 12 months of hire.
- 5-7 years of progressively responsible experience in healthcare quality and infection prevention.
- Experience in a hospital or large healthcare system.
- Proven leadership experience with multidisciplinary teams.
Preferred Job Requirements:
- Master’s degree in nursing, Healthcare Administration or related field.
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ)
