Key Responsibilities
- Complete maintenance service requests including general repairs (drywall, paint, carpentry, etc.) and work involving HVAC systems and appliances
- Participate in “on call” rotations, weekend work, special event needs, and non‑traditional schedule requirements
- Prepare vacant units for move‑in, including performing repairs and updating work order status
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing fixtures, garbage disposals, dishwashers, refrigerators, washing machines, and similar appliances
- Maintain property grounds (trash pickup, sweeping, pressure washing, landscaping, dumpster area upkeep)
- Adhere to OSHA safety standards and all company safety guidelines, reporting issues promptly
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Ideal Candidate Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED or vocational training
- 1 year(s) of maintenance, facility repair, handyman, renovation, or related experience preferred
- HVAC, electrical, or plumbing licensure/certification is highly desired
- Ability to read diagrams/instructions, write reports, and perform basic math
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities
- Positive, collaborative attitude when working with staff, vendors, contractors, and residents
- Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and disciplined with deadlines
- Ability to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive resident information
- Willingness to work overtime, on call, and non‑traditional schedules
- Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation required
