Job Description
The Office of Admissions at Bryn Mawr College invites applications for our next Dean, Undergraduate Admissions. Reporting directly to the Vice President, Enrollment Management, the Dean will serve as the strategic and tactical leader of the College’s undergraduate enrollment efforts. Reporting directly to the Vice President for Enrollment Management and overseeing a team of Admissions professionals, the Dean will drive, assess, and optimize outreach, recruitment, selection and yield efforts in the interest of enrolling the scholarly, broadly diverse undergraduate student body for which Bryn Mawr is known. The successful candidate will bring proven experience crafting and implementing strategy, skill in shaping and leading teams, deep knowledge of enrollment trends, opportunities and challenges, fluency in data analysis, and a collaborative, agile mindset.

Characteristic Responsibilities
- Strategic Enrollment Leadership: Optimize undergraduate admissions efforts in service to institutional enrollment, diversity, and retention goals and in support of long-term growth in a dynamic higher education landscape.
- Data Analytics. Leverage internal and external market data to assess recruitment performance, forecast enrollment trends, and inform admissions planning from search through yield and retention.
- Recruitment and Marketing: Oversee the creation and execution of marketing strategies, digital initiatives, and outreach campaigns to build a high-quality applicant pool. Support the development and implementation of targeted recruitment and outreach initiatives that account for the evolving needs and behaviors of students and families.
- Team Leadership: Provide the undergraduate admissions team with a clear, data-driven strategic vision and tactical roadmap to guide their work. Supervise, train, and mentor staff, fostering professional development and team cohesion.
- Collaboration & Communication: Work collaboratively with cross-campus colleagues in Athletics, Alumnae Relations and Development, and the Impact Center, and with faculty to align key institutional partners with admissions work. Coordinate and collaborate with Enrollment Leadership Team colleagues in financial aid, operations, data analytics, and Slate management to advance admissions initiatives holistically.
- External Relations: Represent the institution to prospective students, families, high schools, and community organizations. Manage external partnerships that support undergraduate admissions work.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- 8 years of progressive professional experience in admissions/enrollment.
- Demonstrated experience leading teams.
- Success in implementing strategies that improve student enrollment
- Exceptional communication and analytical skills.
- Experience at a private, selective liberal arts institution strongly preferred.
- Comfort in leveraging technology and CRM platforms to inform data-driven decision making.
- Depth of knowledge around emerging enrollment challenges.
- Experience with strategic planning and implementation.
- Ability to effectively lead change.
- Effective budget oversight and resource management skills.
- Ability to lead, motivate, and retain a collaborative team and culture marked by information- and goal- sharing, and accountability measures and practice.
