Bryn Mawr College invites you to join a competitive, student-centered NCAA Division III Women’s basketball program as a Part-time Assistant Basketball Coach. This position plays an integral role in supporting the Head Coach in all facets of the program, including player development, practice and game preparation, recruitment, and daily operations.
The Assistant Coach will serve as the team’s Primary Offensive Coordinator and will work collaboratively with the coaching staff to foster competitive excellence, sportsmanship, and student-athlete growth. This role provides the opportunity to positively impact student-athletes on and off the court while supporting a mission-driven athletic department.

Characteristic Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Head Coach to plan and lead non-contact drill instruction prior to the official season.
- Attend and assist with team practices, typically held Monday through Saturday.
- Support the Head Coach in preparing for home and away competitions, including scouting and game strategy.
- Participate in regularly scheduled meetings with the Head Coach.
- Assist in the development and skill progression of guards.
- Support recruiting efforts, including the identification and evaluation of prospective high school student-athletes, in accordance with institutional and conference guidelines.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Coaching experience at the college, AAU, or high school level, or an equivalent combination of education and experience required.
- Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including student-athletes, colleagues, and families.
- Commitment to creating a positive, supportive, and development-focused environment for student-athletes.
- Reliable and punctual, with a demonstrated record of consistent attendance.
- Maintains a respectful, professional, and approachable demeanor with parents, players, opponents, officials, and colleagues.
- Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills and the ability to remain composed in high-pressure situations.
- Takes initiative and works effectively both independently and as part of a collaborative coaching staff.
- Exhibits a team-first mindset, prioritizing program goals and contributing to a positive team culture.
- Ability to understand and follow applicable laws, College policies, and employment regulations, including NCAA and Centennial Conference regulations.
- Successful completion of satisfactory background checks.
