Duties
- Supervise children during playtime, meals, naps, and educational activities to ensure safety and well-being
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development
- Maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages exploration and learning
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians about their child's progress, behavior, and daily experiences
- Follow all mandated reporting laws to report any concerns regarding child safety or well-being
- Administer basic first aid or pediatric first aid when necessary to address minor injuries or health issues promptly
- Support children with special needs by adapting activities and providing individualized care as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience working with children in a daycare, preschool, nannying, babysitting, or classroom setting
- Knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices
- Familiarity with behavior management techniques suitable for young children
- Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members
- Experience working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is a plus
- Understanding of mandated reporting laws related to child safety and abuse prevention
- Classroom management skills to maintain a positive learning environment
- Passion for nurturing children's growth through engaging teaching methods and compassionate supervision
- Must be able to pass a federal and state background check.
