What are the responsibilities and job description for the CARPENTER APPRENTICE position at Brycon Corporation?
Duties Included:
- Continue developing knowledge of architectural applications.
- Learn and understand methods and techniques of storing equipment, material and supplies.
- Learn principles and procedures of record keeping.
- Develop knowledge of pertinent federal state and local laws code and regulations.
- Have or develop ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with those contacted during work.
- Measure and mark cutting lines on material using ruler pencil chalk and making gauge.
- Operate company vehicles forklift and aerial lift.
- Secure and maintain basic tools and perform all tasks to standard.
- Follow all established safety rules and regulations.
- Maintain an alcohol and drug free work environment.
- Report all injuries to safety personnel and foreman immediately.
- May be required to work extended hours (more than 8 hours per day), weekends, and holidays
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications & Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred
- Previous construction experience
- OSHA 10 preferred
- Must successfully complete background check and drug/alcohol testing
- Must have personal hand tools
- May be required to register with the appropriate apprenticeship board as a carpenter apprentice pipefitter
- May be required to take specialty training

Qualifications
- Must be at least 18 years old
- A high school diploma or equivalent may be required, depending on the apprenticeship program
- Willing to participate in classroom instruction and on-the-job training as required by the apprenticeship program
