BryComm a proud division of the Cook & Boardman Group is seeking an Aerial Ground Hand to be part of our team. This position will be responsible for working with fiber optic and copper cable systems in both new and existing applications.
Essential Functions
This position requires physical activity consistent with a construction or installation environment. The employee will spend more than two-thirds of their time standing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, using hands to handle or feel, and reaching with hands and arms. Approximately one-third of the time may be spent walking and engaging in verbal communication or listening. Frequent lifting and moving of materials weighing between 25 and 50 pounds is required.
Work Environment
This role may involve travel to project sites and exposure to a variety of environmental conditions. These may include outdoor weather, proximity to forklifts or other heavy machinery, and the use of hand tools or hardware. Employees may be subject to frequent heavy lifting and other physical demands typical of a construction or warehouse environment.

BryComm a proud division of the Cook & Boardman Group is seeking an Aerial Ground Hand to be part of our team. This position will be responsible for working with fiber optic and copper cable systems in both new and existing applications.
Essential Functions
- Performs various aerial construction labor including but not limited to, preparing, and assembling various line apparatus, utilizing equipment to install ground rods and anchors, assisting in hoisting aerial poles, and operating various types of construction equipment
- Ability to climb utility poles at various heights
- Basic print and map reading abilities
- Ability to operate hydraulic aerial lifts and ladders mounted to trucks as well as other various pieces of equipment as needed
- Safely operate mechanical equipment such as bucket trucks, assist wheel, and anchor placement machine
- Keeps work areas clean and organized; always ensure job site cleanliness
- Maintains proper inventory on vehicle based on work assignments daily
- JSA’s and pre-trip inspections, ability to recognize changing conditions as it relates to JSA
- Help train laborer 1 team members
- Safely use hand tools and equipment such as wrenches, drills, ladders, lashers, chain saw, chain hoist, climbing hooks etc.
- Ensures job site safety and sets up safe perimeter using signage, cones, safety barriers; flagging traffic when required
- CDL A
- OSHA 10
- Confined Space Training
- Vehicle Mounted Aerial Lift Training
- Fall protection certification/training
- Perform other related duties as assigned
