What are the responsibilities and job description for the Plate Washer position at Bryce Corporation?
Summary: Provides plate cleaning and sleeve support duites to the PrePress department.
Key Accountabilities:
- Strips plates from sleeves after jobs are complete
- Strips sticky back from sleeves
- Organizes plates by engraving number
- Separates each with foam liner
- Tags each set with engraving number
- Stacks plates neatly using a foam pad and places proper identification on the plates
- Collects dirty or used plates and moves to plate washing area
- Keeps work area clean and in order
- Stores plates in designated staging area
- Removes plates from package
- Runs dirty plate through plate washer
- Repacks plates with production order to be sent to inventory
- Scheduled changing of washing fluid
- Keeps work area clean and organized at all times
- Strips plates on other jobs while sleeve washer is running
- Performs other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- High School education or GED
- Previous PrePress experience preferred
