What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance and Engineering Coordinator position at Bryce Corporation Career Center?
Summary: Coordinates the activities, calendars, schedules and documents of maintenance and engineering departments as pertains to equipment, materials, and personnel. Also responsible for inspections, SQF compliance, and service contracts.
Key Accountabilities:
- Ensure department personnel receives necessary safety training and that all safety documents are updated and accurate.
- Assign and review work orders to make sure the documentation is completed and done correctly. Also, will track and confirm maintenance techs and engineering techs are accounting for their time through the work order system.
- Will manage, schedule and validate all inspections and service contracts. This will include but not be limited to hoists, fire protection systems, forklifts, doors, quality inspection systems, all OEM service and support contracts.
- Track parts and materials to validate they are procured and available. Coordinates all calendars including maintenance personnel, preventive and predictive maintenance calendars, engineering project calendars and updated project trackers for both departments. Will send out weekly reports on the state of ongoing and upcoming projects.
- Serves as liaison and coordinates activities of external suppliers and contractors.
- Coordinates training activities to ensure departmental personnel are provided with sufficient opportunity for attaining skills and knowledge necessary to successfully perform duties and responsibilities of job.
- Prepares and submits reports and records on departmental activities and results.
- Analyzes costs and assists in preparation of departmental budget(s).
- Coordinate with SQF to make sure all documentation is updated and in compliance.
- Coordinate with HR to make sure all environmental data is updated an in compliance.
- Provide guidance, support, and direction to staff, promoting a collaborative and productive work environment.
- Provide detailed reports and develops a detailed understanding of maintenance connection, work order systems, tracking maintenance downtime, by department, asset and reason.
- Track predictive maintenance, ensure documentation is complete, accurate and provides effective results.
- Coordinate and ensure all personnel are certified in all aspects of their compliant pro and all other training.
- Assist in monitoring employee schedules, workloads, and productivity to meet departmental goals and objectives.
- Communicate effectively with team members, management, and other departments to ensure alignment and coordination of efforts.
- Assist in working with scheduling and department managers to coordinate downtime for scheduled repairs and machine predictive maintenance.
- Performs other related duties as required.
