The Bryant & Stratton College Continuing Education Division is seeking a Nurse Aide Instructor at the Wauwatosa Campus for the weekday evening program. The instructor will teach in the classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings.

Description
The Bryant & Stratton College Continuing Education Division is seeking a Nurse Aide Instructor at the Wauwatosa Campus for the weekday evening program. The instructor will teach in the classroom, laboratory, and clinical settings.
Minimum Requirements
- A qualified candidate is a registered nurse with a minimum of two years experience working as a registered nurse in direct client care.
- Of the two years as a registered nurse, at least one year must be experience working in the long-term care facility providing direct client care
- Other experiences may include employment in a nurse aide education program or employment in or supervision of nursing students as a nursing instructor in a geriatric long-term care setting
- A current and unencumbered registered nurse license
- Train the trainer certificate is required.
- A master’s degree in nursing education or higher may replace this requirement and is preferred. A master’s degree in other areas may be considered.
- The Nurse Aide program is a weekday evening program, and the candidate must work evenings.
- The didactic portion of the nurse aide program will be taught for two 3 hour days for 6 weeks.
- For the lab portion of the nurse aide program will be taught for one 4 hour day for 6 weeks.
- The clinical portion includes two 8-hour clinical days on Saturday and Sunday. Weekend clinical is required.
- Qualified candidates must pass a background check and drug screen and be fully vaccinated.
- Proficiency in basic computer skills is expected. MS Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint) is required.
- Good verbal and written communication and collaboration skills
- Good time management skills
- Teaching experience for nurse aide, licensed practical nurse, associate degree, or bachelor’s degree in nursing programs.
- Computer skills working with a learning management system, such as Blackboard. Grading and administering exams.
