Job Description:
The NACIA Divisional Director will be a part time position, appointed by the Council of Presidents in consultation with the NACIA Executive Director(s).
The Divisional Director will report directly to the NACIA Executive Director(s) and will meet on a regular basis with the Executive Director(s).
The Divisional Director should not be a member of the Board of Athletic Directors
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as liaison to the Athletic Directors and other administrators/coaches of the specified NACIA Division.
- Preside over meetings of the Divisional Athletic Directors (in person or virtual).
- Be responsible for supervising Divisional operations including:
- Creating and coordinating regular season schedules as needed
- Monitoring any disciplinary issues
- Being main contact with assigners of officials for conference sports
- Schedule, plan, coordinate and attend all divisional championships and assisting with Conference Championships
- Manage conference eligibility in compliance with USCAA rules
- Assist with researching plans to expand conference membership
- Supervise divisional sport information duties including posting contest results, stories, gathering award information and details and other responsibilities as determined by the Executive Directors
- Perform such other tasks as may be assigned by the Council of Presidents from time-to-time.
Compensation is an annual stipend of $5,000.
