Job Description

The Lead Lighting Installer will perform the duties normally required in the installation of Professional Outdoor Lighting systems. The Lead Lighting Installer may also be called upon to perform other duties normally required in the electrical service trade.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Install Outdoor Lighting Systems. This includes new installation and remodel/replacement of existing systems.
  • Work with a construction crew on all installations/rehabs, and work within the construction schedules agreed upon.
  • Inspect and operate lighting systems to determine that all are functioning properly.
  • Maintain and repair outdoor lighting systems.
  • Read Multi-Meter, Volt - Meters, Amp Probes, and other tools common to the trade
  • Make adjustments to transformers and timers as necessary
  • Take responsibility for the accurate and timely completion of paperwork.
  • Perform each day’s tasks according to the workorder system as dispatched by the Office Manager.
  • Provide maximum customer service and professional communication to all associates and customers.

Required Position Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Must be able to read, interpret and layout lighting or electrical systems as shown on blueprints or shop drawings.
  • Must have knowledge of both electrical wiring and be able to install according to code requirements.
  • MUST be Able to move and work on Tall Ladders in Excess of 28 ft, without issues, for extended amounts of time.
  • Must be proficient in conduit work, mounting or anchoring boxes to hardscape surfaces.
  • Must be forward thinking and show good problem solving skills, coordinate with supervisors or others when obstacles are encountered on the job site
  • Mechanical — Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
  • Customer and Personal Service — Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction.
  • Installation — Installing equipment, machines, wiring, or programs to meet specifications.
  • Troubleshooting — Determining the causes of operating errors and deciding what to do about it.
  • Repairing — Repairing machines or systems using the needed tools.
  • Equipment Maintenance — Performing routine maintenance on equipment and determining when and what kind of maintenance is needed.
  • Operation Monitoring — Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
  • Quality Control Analysis — Conducting tests and inspections of products, services, or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
  • Operation and Control — Controlling operations of equipment or systems.

ALL BENEFITS AND BONUS PAY ARE AVAILABLE AFTER A 90 DAY PROBATIONARY PERIOD

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
