What are the responsibilities and job description for the Backhoe Operator position at Bryant Group Inc.?
Bryant Group, Inc. is a well-established Plumbing Contractor located in Gaithersburg, MD. Our Bryant Group Team Members have provided quality services to the residential construction industry throughout the Mid-Atlantic region for many decades. We perform work in MD, VA, WV, PA and DE for the area’s premier homebuilders. We are currently seeking Backhoe Operator's for new residential communities in the Hagerstown, MD and Martinsburg and Charles Town, WV areas.
Responsibilities:
· Operate compact excavator to dig for water and sewer lines for new residential construction (Single Family Homes and Townhomes)
· Planning, measuring and adhering to local plumbing codes.
· Load, unload and transport construction material such as dirt, gravel and plumbing pipe.
· Conduct daily safety inspections of your machine.
· Must adhere to all OSHA guidelines for sloping and grading.
· Familiar with digging around utility lines.
Qualifications:
· Must have 3 to 5 years verifiable experience with heavy machinery.
· Certification for OSHA Sub Part B
· Ability to interpret site layout instructions
· Ability to lift up to 50 – 75 lbs., repetitive movements, sitting on machine for long periods of time and comfort in working outdoors in all weather conditions.
· Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical
· Background check required
Pay: $18.00 - $26.00 per hour
