SUMMARY
The Traffic/Transportation Engineer will be a key member of the Bryant Engineering Team in our Lincoln, RI office, where he/she will perform traffic and highway design, calculations, and analysis in support of the successful completion of assigned projects for a wide range of public and private sector clients.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Traffic/Transportation Engineer will assist Project Manager with the planning and design of assigned projects that meet technical requirements and are delivered on time and within budget.
RESPONSIBILITIES: (OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED)
- Work on design teams in all aspects of given project to develop detailed traffic/highway design plans that meet client specifications and exceed client expectations
- Perform associated tasks related, but not limited to: highway design, traffic impact studies, traffic analysis, signal design and traffic control plans
- Supports Project Engineer on other tasks as assigned/needed
REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to work on multiple project assignments concurrently
- Problem Solver
- Works in a timely fashion to meet project budgets and deadlines
- Desire to work in a team environment
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- BS in Civil Engineering
- 1-2 years of experience preferred
- Previous experience working in a consulting engineering environment a plus
- Engineer in Training (EIT) in Rhode Island
COMPUTER SKILLS
- Proficient in AutoCad® Civil 3D® and AutoTurn® PTV VISSM, HCSTM and Synchro®
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBLITIES

TRAVEL
Local travel to job sites and client meetings as required
