What are the responsibilities and job description for the MACHINE PITCH UMPIRE (Henderson Park/Timber Trail) position at Bryan County?
Must be 16 years of age with reliable transportation and ability to work evenings and weekends.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Officiate baseball or softball games, ensuring adherence to the rules and regulations of the game.
Make accurate and timely calls on plays, including balls, strikes, safe, and out decisions.
Communicate effectively with players, coaches, and other officials to maintain game flow and address any disputes.
Conduct pre-game meetings with team managers to clarify expectations and rules.
Assess and manage the conduct of players and coaches, applying appropriate penalties for unsportsmanlike behavior.
Maintain a thorough understanding of game rules and updates to ensure consistent enforcement.
