Position Title: General Instruction Coordinator, 1.0 FTE

Location: Bryan Community

Position Details:

The General Instruction Coordinator is responsible for providing leadership in general education. This person supports and collaborates with the building Principal/teachers/students by fulfilling the leadership duties for which they are responsible.

This position will include a broad range of school leadership responsibilities, including but not be limited to, MTSS committee leadership, SAT/504, event supervision, student discipline and attendance management, systems planning, community relations, school improvement committee support, instructional appraisal of certified staff, appraisal of classified staff, and the use and development of data based systems to guide leadership decisions.

At Bryan, this position also provides special education leadership for two special education teachers and approximately 40 students with IEPs. A special education endorsement is not required.

Bryan Community is an alternative high school serving approximately 150 students from all Lincoln high schools. The smaller learning environment allows for more individualized instruction and personalized relationships with students. Students choose to attend Bryan for a myriad of reasons and are admitted after an application and interview process.

Requirements:

Must qualify for, or hold, Nebraska Administrative certificate.
Demonstrated successful administrative or leadership experience required, with a commitment to working in a culturally responsive learning environment.
