The Bryan Scholarship Director serves as a primary ambassador for Bryan College, cultivating donor relationships and securing dollars to supporting the college’s presence regionally and locally. This role manages the Bryan College Scholarship Fund while overseeing signature advancement and community events that engage alumni, friends, churches, businesses, and community leaders. The Director represents Bryan College in fundraising, admissions support, alumni relations, church outreach, and community leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.
- Minimum of 3–5 years’ experience in fundraising, advancement, event planning, church relations, or community engagement.
- Proven ability as a public speaker with strong presentation skills across diverse audiences.
- Demonstrated success in building and maintaining relationships with donors, alumni, church leaders, and community partners.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and events.
- Willingness to travel regionally and work evenings/weekends as needed.
- Alignment with the Christian mission and statement of faith of Bryan College.
- Lead efforts for the Bryan Scholarship Program, meeting or exceeding annual goals for the BSF annual budget of $500,000.
- Build and maintain relationships with donors, alumni, churches, and businesses asking those companies and employees if they will support the Bryan Scholarship Fund.
- Share the vision and impact of scholarship giving through meetings, events, and presentations.
- Partner with Advancement staff to identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward donors.
- Plan and execute Evening with Bryan Dinners in six to seven major cities (Chattanooga, Knoxville, Nashville, Atlanta, Charlotte, and others)
- Coordinate with hosts, alumni, and regional networks to maximize attendance and engagement.
- Support key campus events such as Homecoming, Golden Grads, and employee appreciation gatherings.
- Serve as a speaker at churches, providing updates, sharing Bryan College’s mission, and fostering both fundraising and admissions interest.
- Represent Bryan College locally by serving on one community board and participating in civic activities that strengthen relationships in Dayton.
- Build partnerships with churches, businesses, and organizations to expand Bryan College’s influence.
- Act as liaison between Advancement and faculty/staff, fostering collaboration across the college.
- Ensure faculty, staff, and administrators are engaged in scholarship priorities and special events.
- Securing scholarship funding that makes education accessible.
- Strengthening alumni and community ties through impactful events.
- Serving as a trusted voice in churches, civic organizations, and the local community.
- Enhancing Bryan College’s visibility and reputation regionally and locally.
