Bruster’s Real Ice Cream is made the old-fashioned way, with slow kettle processing designed specifically to create the Bruster’s flavor, starting with a proprietary homestyle mix delivered fresh from its dairy to each store. It’s a process that simply makes Bruster’s A Scoop Above The Rest.
Our large variety of premium flavors and artisan desserts are made right in the store where they are served. We have over 150 recipes for our premium products, allowing incredible variety for our customers.
We're hiring an Ice Cream Maker to join our team and to ensure the store is adequately stocked with ice cream, sherbet and ice on a daily basis.
REQUIREMENTS
- 1 year prior baking or food prep or food service experience a plus
- prep cook, chef, home baking, food service, fast food or kitchen experience a plus
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Motivated Self Starter able to work without direct supervision
- Strong communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Attention to detail is a MUST
- Strong hand-eye coordination
- Ability to multi-task
- Able to lift up to 40 lbs
- Able to consistently and repeatedly lift 35 lb buckets of ice cream
- Ability to be on your feet for 6-8 hours
- Comfortable with food safety and sanitation procedures
- Hours can generally be fit to your schedule once training is complete. Approx 4 days per week (more if full-time)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES(complete training provided)
- Produce ice cream, sherbet, ice
- Maintain cleanliness of work area
- Possess working knowledge of ice cream making equipment
- Clean & sanitize ice cream making equipment
- Complete inventory and batch sheets
Scoop ice cream on an as-needed basis
Opportunity for additional hours as a Scooper (customer service) and possible management opportunity for the right person.
Variable hours dependent on need. Will be required to meet benchmark times once trained.
