Are You Ready to Love Veterinary Medicine Again?

Are you an LVT who loves practicing medicine but feels underutilized? Are you tired of late nights, weekends, burnout, and feeling like you’re just trying to get through the day?

Maybe it’s time for a place you can actually call home.

At Brunswick Veterinary Hospital, we believe great medicine starts with a great team. We believe in taking excellent care of our patients, building genuine relationships with our clients, and treating each other with the same compassion, understanding, and respect we give the pets who depend on us.

And yes—you can have a career in veterinary medicine without giving up your life outside of it.

Who We Are

Located just 30 minutes from New York's state capital, near the Vermont and Massachusetts borders, and about two hours from the beautiful Adirondack Mountains, Brunswick Veterinary Hospital is a modern, privately owned, AAHA-accredited small animal hospital in Troy, NY.

We're proud to have built a hospital where high-quality medicine and a genuinely welcoming environment go hand in hand. Our hospital is designed to feel less like a stressful clinical setting and more like a place where our patients, clients, and team belong.

We are growing our phenomenal team and are looking for Licensed Veterinary Technicians who want to practice good medicine, use their skills, continue to grow, and be part of something special.

No late nights. No weekends. Just Monday–Friday, with schedules between 8 AM and 6 PM.

Why You'll Love Working Here
Your Skills Matter

You didn't become an LVT to simply hold animals and clean kennels.

We want our technicians utilized to their fullest potential and involved in patient care, client education, anesthesia, dentistry, surgery, diagnostics, laboratory work, urgent care, and more.

We Care About How We Work Together

Our core values aren't just words on a wall. They describe the kind of team we strive to be:

Friendly. Outstanding. Compassionate. Understanding. Sincere. Excellent Care. Dependable.

We believe in helping one another, communicating openly, treating people with respect, and creating an environment where you can ask questions, share ideas, and continue learning.

Work-Life Balance Is Actually Part of the Job

We believe being a great veterinary professional shouldn't require sacrificing your personal life.

  • No weekends
  • No late nights
  • Monday–Friday scheduling
  • Flexible schedules between 8 AM and 6 PM
  • A manageable appointment structure
  • Time to provide thoughtful, quality patient care

Practice Medicine, Not Just Medicine-by-Assembly-Line

We see a wide variety of species and cases, including:

  • Dogs and cats
  • Rats, mice, gerbils, and other pocket pets
  • Preventative and wellness care
  • Urgent and emergent cases
  • Routine and non-routine soft tissue and orthopedic surgery
  • Dentistry
  • Advanced diagnostics
  • Abdominal ultrasound
  • Echocardiography

Keep Growing

We want our people to grow—not just our hospital.

You'll have opportunities for continuing education, additional training, expanded skills, and professional development. We support our team in becoming better technicians, better teammates, and better advocates for their patients.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary based on experience and performance
  • Annual increases and yearly bonuses
  • Student loan assistance
  • Medical, dental, and life insurance
  • Generous paid time off and holiday pay

  • Staff outings and team events

And we're willing to have a conversation about additional compensation or benefits that may be important to you as our relationship develops.

Could You Be Our Next LVT?

We're looking for someone who is dependable, accountable, compassionate, curious, and passionate about excellent patient care.

Someone who wants to show up, do good work, be part of a team, and build a career—not just find another job.

Someone who believes veterinary medicine can be both professionally fulfilling and personally sustainable.

If that sounds like you, we'd love to meet you.

Come find out what it feels like to have a place where you belong.
