Position Title: Part-Time Facilities Support Associate

Location: Ash Center

Reports To: Program Manager

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 3-4-hour shift (19 hours/week)

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Compensation: $15/hour

Position Summary:

Brunswick Senior Resources, Inc. (BSRI) is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Part-Time Facilities Support Associate to help ensure our senior centers remain clean, safe, and welcoming. This role includes daily custodial responsibilities and occasional support with room setups and event breakdowns. The ideal candidate will take pride in maintaining high standards of cleanliness while contributing to the smooth operation of our programs and services for older adults.

Key Responsibilities:

Custodial Duties (Daily):

• Sweep, mop, vacuum, and/or polish floors in all facility areas
• Clean and sanitize restrooms, including sinks, toilets, mirrors, and fixtures
• Restock soap, paper products, and other restroom supplies
• Empty trash and recycling bins throughout the building
• Clean windows, doors, and interior glass surfaces
• Sanitize high-touch surfaces such as doorknobs, handrails, and counters
• Dust furniture, ledges, vents, and other surfaces

• Maintain cleanliness in kitchen or breakroom areas

• Monitor and report inventory needs for cleaning supplies

Facilities and Event Support (As Needed):

• Assist with setting up tables, chairs, and equipment for programs or special events
• Break down and store materials following events
• Help ensure clear walkways and safe gathering spaces for participants
• Report any safety concerns or maintenance issues to the supervisor promptly
• Occasionally assist with light lifting, deliveries, or moving supplies
• Conduct bi-monthly deep cleaning

Qualifications:

• Prior custodial or facilities experience preferred
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending, reaching, standing, and walking for extended periods
• Strong time management and reliability
• Able to work independently and follow routine cleaning schedules
• Friendly and respectful demeanor when interacting with staff, volunteers, and program participants
• A commitment to BSRI's mission and the wellbeing of older adults

Work Environment:

• Indoor work at one or more BSRI senior center facilities
• Use of standard cleaning tools, equipment, and supplies

Responsibilities may be adjusted based on organizational needs. Employees may occasionally be asked to support additional tasks outside the scope of this job description as part of a collaborative and mission-driven team.
