We are seeking a motivated and skilled Lead Construction Worker to join our construction team. In this role, you will be an essential part of building, renovating, and restoring a variety of structures, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, safely, and to the highest standards. Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of construction sites.
- Perform carpentry duties including trim, fine carpentry, framing wood/metal, drywall, install cabinets, trim, siding, and light plumbing and electrical.
- Conduct renovation and restoration work by removing old materials and installing new finishes with attention to detail.
- Read blueprints and schematics accurately to guide construction activities and ensure compliance with design specifications.
- Handle heavy lifting safely while maintaining a focus on efficiency and quality in all tasks performed.
- Operate commercial vehicles for material transport when required in accordance with safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work site by managing hand tools, power tools, and debris effectively.
Qualifications
- Proven experience working on construction sites with knowledge of various construction disciplines.
- Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and safety.
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy lifting, scaffolding setup, equipment operation, and site hazards.
- Experience with metal stud framing, flooring installation including tile laying, drywall finishing.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Excellent physical stamina for heavy lifting and long hours on-site; ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Effective communication skills to collaborate with team members and supervisors throughout project phases.
