What are the responsibilities and job description for the UNIT SECRETARY/PER DIEM UNIT SECRETARY position at Brunswick Hospital Center?
Under the direction of the Registered Nurse, the Unit Secretary initiates patient care in a consistent, age appropriate and individual manner. She/he demonstrates a sense of ownership of work processes/take-accept responsibility for own actions, including but not limited to continually improving performance. EDUCATION REQUIRED/PREFERRED An Associate Degree in criminal justice, social work or a health related area or a psychiatric/behavioral health in a high volume, intensive care environment preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required. IV. v. EXPERIENCE AND/OR SKILLS REQUIRED Recent experience in a hospital LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS REQUIRED CNA preferred but not required VI. JOB HAZARDS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS All employees must be physically fit to work within his/her job capacity in order to safely complete their job description. You will be intervening with psychiatric patients who may be unruly at times. Therefore your physical job requirements may include; lifting, carrying, and pushing bending, reaching, stretching, long periods of sitting and standing. Annual satisfactory health assessment is required, including Tuberculosis screening.
