Dietetic Technician, Registered
Under the supervision of the Registered Dietitian:
Key Responsibilities:
Completes Nutrition Screening.
Obtains specified data to contribute elements of the nutrition assessment or reassessment for completion by the RD.
Obtains and evaluates patients diet histories, including food allergies, food preferences and food intolerances.
Modifies menus in accordance with patient’s diet order.
Provides individual and group nutrition education.
Performs meal rounds to ensure patients dietary intake and adherence to prescribed diet.
Participates in Performance Improvement Activities.
Follows all guidelines as outlined within the Departmental Policies and Procedures Manual.
Performs related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
Diet Technician, Registered by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR).
Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from an accredited College or University.
Computer literate and proficiency with EMR software and Excel.
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Salary : $25 - $27
