We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Social Worker I to join our team supporting at-risk families involved with the Department of Social Services. In this role, you will provide basic casework services and work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team to help strengthen family functioning and promote child well-being. A Social Worker I provides supportive services to at-risk families under the guidance of the Social Worker III, including assisting with visitation services to strengthen parent–child interaction, bonding, and attachment. This position Implements activities with parents that promote healthy childhood growth and development while continually assessing family needs.
The Social Worker I will engage with individuals from diverse backgrounds, often in sensitive or traumatic situations, and must maintain clear, concise documentation and service plans. This role requires strong independent judgment, discretion, initiative, and a high level of tact and professionalism in all interactions.
There will be a significant amount of time spent in family homes and in the community. Must be available to work during emergency situations.

- Bachelor’s Degree in a human service field; or
- Bachelor’s Degree plus one year directly related experience; or
- An equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
