Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards that cater to diverse learning styles and educational needs
- Deliver engaging lectures and practical laboratory sessions covering topics such as organic chemistry, biochemistry, genetics, cell biology, microbiology, molecular biology, and differential equations
- Incorporate technology into lessons through digital simulations, virtual labs, and interactive learning platforms to enhance student engagement
- Assess student progress through quizzes, standardized tests, projects, and laboratory reports; provide timely feedback to support growth
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a positive learning environment conducive to active participation and collaboration
- Supervise laboratory experiments including dissections and research activities while ensuring safety protocols are followed
- Mentor students in scientific research projects and provide guidance on academic advising and career pathways in science fields
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Science Education or a related field; advanced degrees or higher education teaching experience preferred
- Proven classroom management skills with experience teaching teenagers in diverse educational settings
- Strong knowledge of scientific disciplines including biology (cell biology, genetics, microbiology), chemistry (organic chemistry), mathematics (algebra, trigonometry, calculus), and physics (geometry, differential equations)
- Experience implementing IT-integrated lessons and utilizing learning technology tools effectively in the classroom
- Familiarity with curriculum development, instructional design, standardized testing preparation, and educational compliance regulations
- Laboratory experience with dissection techniques and research laboratory procedures is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to adapt teaching methods to various learning styles and needs
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues on lesson planning, educational initiatives, and school administration tasks
- Knowledge of special education practices and behavior management strategies is a plus
