We are seeking someone that will be able to help us out full-time (7a - 4p Monday - Friday, with less than five Saturdays worked per year). Pay based on experience.
Description & Duties:
- Receive incoming shipments of merchandise, equipment, and supplies for Piqua Hardware & Rentals and RCS Construction.
- Unload and inspect shipments for accuracy, quality, and damages.
- Organize and store inventory in designated locations within the warehouse as well as behind store.
- Perform regular inventory cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
- Prepare orders for shipment by picking, packing, and labeling items.
- Load outgoing shipments onto delivery trucks or assist customers with loading merchandise into their vehicles.
- Operate warehouse equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
- Keep warehouse/parking lot clean, organized, and free of hazards.
- Assist with inventory replenishment and restocking shelves as needed.
- General maintenance of rental equipment.
- Prepare equipment for next rentals.
- Complete Daily Checklist – OPENING and CLOSING CHECKLISTS as appropriate.
- Complete Daily Safety Walk of entire area at start of each day and all safety issues corrected on the spot.
- Take ownership/accountability for assigned area of responsibility.
- Follow all safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
Preferred Skills:
- High school diploma/GED
- Previous construction experience.
- Ability to professionally communicate with internal and external publics.
- Ability to maintain concentration with frequent time pressure and interruptions.
- Safety focused.
- Physically able to regularly lift, move, and carry material generally weighing 0-50 pounds.
- Physically able to reach, squat, kneel, climb, push, pull, operate forklifts, and climb ladders.
- Valid driver's license.
