About Bruno
Bruno is an open-source, Git-native API client built for developers who prefer local-first workflows, minimal UI, and simplicity. We’re growing fast and looking for a Developer Relations Engineer who can help developers get more value from Bruno through great docs, examples, and community engagement.
This is a full-time role (onsite or hybrid) working closely with our founders and engineering team. As our user base accelerates, we need someone who can improve documentation, create high-quality technical content, and help developers adopt Bruno quickly. You’ll be central to how developers learn, troubleshoot, and build with Bruno.
- Write tutorials, guides, and technical articles that help developers use advanced Bruno features.
- Improve and expand documentation with clear examples, reference material, and best practices.
- Build sample projects, example workspaces, and small demo apps that showcase real-world usage.
- Engage with the community on GitHub, Discord, and social channels—answer questions, spot patterns, and turn them into content.
- Collaborate with Engineering to ensure new features ship with docs, examples, and onboarding material.
- Collect developer feedback and surface insights that improve product experience.
- Support launch content, demos, and technical walkthroughs for new releases.
- 1-3 years of engineering experience (backend, full-stack, API workflows, or devtools).
- Strong technical writing skills with the ability to explain concepts clearly and concisely.
- Comfortable building small demos and writing code to illustrate workflows.
- Active in developer communities and familiar with how developers discover, adopt, and troubleshoot tools.
- Organized, self-directed, and able to produce high-quality content consistently.
- Experience in DevRel, DX engineering, or open-source contributions.
- Familiarity with API testing workflows, OpenAPI, or Git-based developer tools.
- Experience creating video demos or short technical walkthroughs.
- Prior experience at an early-stage devtools startup.
