Brunel is recruiting 2 Construction Superintendents to work in Carlsbad, NM for initially 1 year contract.

Coordinate and oversee the construction of electric distribution lines and facilities. Support project delivery while meeting safety, quality, scope, schedule, and financial objectives.
Responsibilities:
- Manage contractor safety, work progress, and completion.
- Coordinate field activities and support construction execution for electric distribution projects.
- Support achievement of the planned permanent in-service date.
- Lead crews and perform field inspections to verify compliance with material, equipment, and design specifications.
- Document inspection findings and address installation or construction issues.
- Recognize and address safety concerns on-site.
- Inspect and monitor the installation of distribution lines and equipment.
- Support work scheduling and prioritization to meet project deadlines.
- Provide field support for the design and construction of electric distribution facilities.
- Confirm job-site readiness and obtain required permits.
- Coordinate field changes and material or equipment deliveries and inspections.
- Review and support post-construction material reconciliation, as-built designs, and contractor labor accuracy against the approved design.
- Complete special assignments as directed.
Required Education and Experience:
- Completion of a qualified apprenticeship program.
- Journeyman Lineman certification.
- Experience managing and running electric distribution crews.
Technical Knowledge and Competencies:
- Extensive knowledge of applicable OSHA, NEC, NESC, DOT, and CFR requirements.
- In-depth understanding of electric distribution construction methods, techniques, standards, and equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret complex electrical and construction designs.
- In-depth knowledge of right-of-way terms.
- Ability to ensure compliance with safety guidelines, company policies, procedures, and work standards.
- Ability to plan, organize, and coordinate several complex projects and activities within required time limits.
- Experience handling critical situations with minimal or no direction from supervisors.
- Ability to identify and define objectives for a team when serving in a leadership role.
