The Help Desk I responsibilities include working and resolving tickets in a timely manner and escalating to higher tiers when needed. Document tickets appropriately and respond to emails. Assist via phone or in person with troubleshooting hardware and/or software in the office. Setup and install new or replacement hardware or software.
Position Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot end-user hardware, software, and networking problems in a Windows / Linux environment
- Troubleshoot, identify, research, and resolve technical problems
- Respond to telephone calls, email, and personnel requests for technical support
- Document, track, and monitor the status of a problem to ensure a timely resolution via ticketing system
- Verify with the end users that problems are resolved
- Escalate unresolved end-user problems to appropriate tier
- Install and configure workstation software and printers
- Provide on-call support on one Saturday a month
Position Requirements:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating system and applications
- Working knowledge of computer networking, server to workstation topologies, and connectivity issues
- Any knowledge of Linux is a plus: configuring network, checking IP addresses, basic commands, Samba, Cups, Apache, SSH
- Ability to perform multiple tasks and work on multiple issues with appropriate supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong technical, analytical, and organizational skills
- Keen attention to detail is a must
- Strong sense of urgency, solid sense of ownership, and team player
- Self-motivated (proactive) and able to work independently
- 1 year of hands-on technical experience
- Able to successfully pass a background check
- Reliable transportation
- A , Network , MCP preferred
- Fluency in Spanish is a plus
- This is for a Full-time on-site shift either 8AM-5PM or 9AM-6PM M-F
- Travel based on operational needs
