What are the responsibilities and job description for the Legal Clerical Assistant/Receptionist position at Brumley Law Office?
We are looking for a reliable and responsible legal clerical assistant/receptionist/secretary to ensure smooth running of the office and effective case management. Under the supervision of an attorney, you will provide a broad spectrum of clerical and secretarial services, serve as the first line of communication between the office and clients, witnesses, experts, other firms, etc., and handle incoming/outgoing phone calls, scheduling, among other items.
Responsibilities:
- Provide administrative support to attorneys and enhance office effectiveness.
- Handle communications with clients and other providers.
- Keep clients informed by maintaining contact and communicating case progress.
- Answer and direct phone calls, take calls, make calls, deliver messages.
- Maintain contact lists.
- Monitor and enforce deadlines.
- Schedule meetings and manage schedules.
- Process incoming and outgoing mail.
- Process invoices for vendors.
- Manage, organize, and maintain documents in paper and electronic filing systems.
- Run errands as needed for the office such as delivering filings and other documents, picking up food/drinks for office events, delivering mail and other shipping items, etc.
Requirements:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and professional demeanor.
- High school diploma or general education degree.
- Detail oriented.
- Excellent secretarial and organizational skills.
- Computer and phone literacy.
- Proficiency in English.
- Ability to work independently, manage large workloads, and keep deadlines.
- Proficiency in Word and Excel.
- Ability to problem solve and prioritize.
Benefits/Pay

- Pay reflected above negotiable based on experience level.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
