A leading global asset manager is seeking a Principal-level Credit Risk Manager to lead risk oversight of a residential mortgage warehouse and asset-backed financing portfolio, with accountability for underwriting, approvals, and ongoing portfolio monitoring.
Key Responsibilities
- Underwrite and approve residential mortgage warehouse and asset-backed transactions
- Assess structure, collateral, counterparties, and servicing risk
- Identify credit, fraud, reputational, and collateral/control risks
- Challenge deal teams and propose structural mitigants
- Monitor portfolio performance and flag emerging risks
- Review loan agreements and transaction documentation
- Partner with Legal, Compliance, and Treasury on key risk issues
- Present risk recommendations to senior stakeholders and committees
- Produce concise risk memos with supporting analysis
Requirements
- Experience in credit risk within structured finance / asset-backed lending
- Prior credit approval authority
- Residential mortgage product knowledge (agency, non-QM, SFR, HELOCs, MSRs)
- Experience with warehouse facilities and/or securitisation
- Strong credit analysis and financial modelling skills
- Experience reviewing legal documentation
- Ability to challenge and make independent decisions
- Clear written and verbal communication
Salary : $250,000 - $300,000
