Global banking platform is expanding its Infrastructure & Project Finance Credit function in New York and is hiring a VP-level Credit Officer to support a growing renewables-led portfolio across the US.
Key responsibilities
- Lead independent credit assessment and approval support for infrastructure and project finance transactions across renewables, digital infrastructure, and PFI/PPP assets
- Review, challenge, and sign off on new business, amendments, restructurings, and annual reviews across complex non-recourse structures
- Conduct detailed credit analysis including cash flow modelling, scenario/sensitivity testing, and structural risk assessment
- Produce high-quality credit papers and sector reviews for internal credit committees in New York and London
- Monitor portfolio risk, escalating changes in credit profile and ensuring adherence to internal policy and regulatory requirements
- Partner with origination, coverage, and product teams to balance risk/reward and support sustainable franchise growth
- Provide credit oversight on transactions through full lifecycle from origination through monitoring
Skills & experience required
- 5–10 years’ experience in credit risk, underwriting, or structured finance within infrastructure and/or project finance
- Strong exposure to US infrastructure markets, ideally with renewables experience (solar, wind, battery storage, digital infrastructure)
- Proven ability to assess non-recourse financing structures and complex credit documentation
- Strong financial modelling and sensitivity analysis capability (hands-on understanding essential even if not day-to-day modelling focus)
- Experience producing detailed credit papers and presenting to senior credit committees
Salary : $180,000 - $225,000
