What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance/Tooling Change Technician position at Bruckman Rubber?
Job Scope:
As a member of the BRC Maintenance Team, the Maintenance Technician will assist the maintenance department to ensure the smooth running of operations to create a high-quality product. This position participates in the installation, repair, and upkeep of the plant’s building and equipment. General mechanical knowledge is essential.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinates with the Maintenance Supervisor to complete projects and work orders efficiently and in a timely manner
- Perform basic mechanic skills including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and troubleshooting of production machines
- Diagnose problems, replace, or repair parts, test, and make adjustments as needed
- Perform regular preventative maintenance on machines and production equipment
- Read and interpret equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service
- Participate in coordination of expansion/reorganization projects
- Ensure adherence to quality standards and health and safety regulations
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge and Job Skills:
- Attention to detail with a sense of urgency
- Self-starter dedicated to continuous quality improvement
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Multi-tasking and shifting from one job to the next with confidence
- Mechanical aptitude and trouble shooting skills
- 1-2 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting is preferred
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40.0 per week
