What are the responsibilities and job description for the Paraprofessional- Behavior Support (K-5) position at Bruceville-Eddy ISD?
The Behavior Support Paraprofessional works closely with the campus principal and staff to support students with behavioral needs. This position focuses on promoting positive behavior, supporting a safe learning environment, and helping students be successful both academically and socially.
Work directly with students who need behavioral support in grades K–5
Assist in implementing behavior intervention plans (BIPs) and strategies
Support the principal with behavior management and student supervision
Help monitor student behavior in classrooms, hallways, cafeteria, and playground
Build positive relationships with students and encourage appropriate behavior
Assist teachers with classroom management and redirection of students
Document student behavior and report concerns to the principal and staff
Support de-escalation of student behaviors using appropriate strategies
Participate in meetings related to student behavior as needed
Maintain confidentiality of student information
Help create a positive, safe, and structured learning environment
