THIS IS AN OVER NIGHT POSITION!
We are seeking a dedicated and friendly Cashier to join our Over night team in a dynamic retail environment. As a Cashier, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while efficiently handling transactions. Your role will involve operating the POS system, managing cash handling, and ensuring a positive shopping experience for all customers. Responsibilities
- Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently during transactions
- Provide excellent customer service by greeting customers and assisting with inquiries
- Handle cash transactions, including cash handling and balancing the register at the end of shifts
- Upsell products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales
- Conduct product demonstrations to inform customers about new items or promotions
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and merchandise displays
- Assist with stocking shelves and merchandising to ensure products are readily available for customers
- Supervise junior staff members as needed, providing guidance on best practices in customer service and sales
Requirements
- Previous experience in cashiering or retail sales preferred
- Strong basic math skills for accurate cash handling and retail math calculations
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on phone etiquette
- Bilingual abilities are a plus to better serve our diverse customer base
- Experience with supervising staff is an advantage
- Knowledge of merchandising techniques and product stocking procedures
- A friendly demeanor with a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
