What are the responsibilities and job description for the Maintenance Tech Lead position at BrucePac?
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Perform the timely "tear down and set up" of production equipment daily to ensure equipment availability for Sanitation and Production team members.
2. Observe and listen to mechanical devices in operation to locate causes of trouble, analyze trouble and perform preventive maintenance or repairs mechanical devices.
3. Perform routine equipment inspections.
4. Perform routine preventative and repair maintenance operations; Become adept with plant layout; Contribute to the preventive maintenance program as directed,
5. Understand and follow all applicable safety policies, USDA requirements, GMP’s, and industry standards.
6. Monitor and adjust settings as necessary for HVAC, refrigeration and boiler.
7. Keep organized documentation of work tasks.
8. Maintain good housekeeping practices in the Maintenance shop, parts room, outside work areas and other work areas.
9. Respond quickly to equipment downtime by analyzing and identifying the problem.
10. Monitor and supervise maintenance technicians and trainees.
11. Maintain records of planned and completed maintenance.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. Basic understanding of hand tools and standard measurements including metric and English.
2. Ability to speak, read and write in English, Bilingual English and Spanish preferred.
3. One year certificate from college or technical school, or one year related experience and/or training with demonstrated mechanical aptitude, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
4. Two years of experience in one of the following: electric, hydraulic, pneumatic, TIG welding, millwright.
5. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record.
