Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation of rebar, formwork, and other structural components according to blueprint specifications.
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely to support construction activities.
- Prepare construction sites by cleaning debris, setting up scaffolding, and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Support concrete pouring, finishing, cutting, and pumping tasks to ensure smooth and precise application.
- Interpret technical drawings and schematics to assist with framing, masonry, roofing, and other trades.
- Perform heavy lifting and material handling while adhering to workplace safety regulations.
- Assist with renovation projects including plastering, stucco application, caulking, trim carpentry, and flooring installation.
Skills
- Strong mechanical knowledge and familiarity with construction tools and equipment.
- Experience with concrete mixing, pouring, cutting, finishing, and formwork construction.
- Ability to interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and construction plans accurately.
- Knowledge of construction estimating processes and site safety regulations.
- Skilled in working on diverse construction projects such as masonry, metal stud framing, drywall installation, tile laying, and restoration work.
- Proficient in operating heavy machinery like concrete pumps or heavy equipment when required.
- Excellent physical stamina for heavy lifting and working on various construction sites under different conditions.
