What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Professional position at Bruce Furniture?
Our newest location in Grand Island is looking for someone who wants to be actively
engaged in a long term career as a sales consultant. YOUR POSITIVE ATTITUDE AND CONSISTENT EFFORT ARE NON NEGOTIABLES FOR SUCCESS!!
WANTED: A salesperson with a little experience, and a lot of HEART…
Are you someone that has:
A great natural, happy enthusiasm?
A real love for LIFE, and a real HEART for people?
A background in sales and service?
If you have sales experience or a burning drive to succeed, you like furniture, AND you have great people skills, then we need to talk!
I’m Michael Bruce at Bruce Furniture, and I’m looking for someone just like YOU. Even if you’ve never sold furniture before, that’s ok. We can teach you everything you need to know to thrive in this business.
The problem is: I can’t teach you to have humility and kindness in the workplace.
I cannot train you to have a servant’s heart toward the customer you are serving.
I cannot give you the ability to relate to people from all walks of life and treat everyone equally, with respect.
I need someone who brings those qualities with them to this job interview.
Because the things that really matter are those things you bring with you: the natural abilities and attitudes of a top performer.
* DRIVEN: You do the work for success and are accountable.
- INTEGRITY: To you, doing the job RIGHT isn’t just a nice goal. It’s a duty. That’s just how you roll.
- EXCELLENCE: You always step up and go the extra mile for your customer. Because that’s how it’s done right.
- HEART: You genuinely like people.
I don’t hire people if all they have is skill; I hire the people who have the highest work ethic and most eagerness to become exceptional at what they do. And then I make sure they get the training they need, make the money they deserve and then insure they have a schedule that works their FAMILY.
Our goal is to be the BEST. Not the cheapest. That’s why I happily admit and I say it out loud:
“I put my employees FIRST. Customers come second.”
Why?
“Because happy employees MAKE happy customers.”
Do you like to work smarter AND harder?
Do you want to make more money and enjoy more freedom?
Great! Then here’s how you’ll start:
Benefits:
· 401(k)
· 401(k) matching
· Employee discount
· Paid time off
· Working Monday to Friday
· Rotating weekends
· You will earn $44,000-$60,000 per year with a guaranteed $1400 salary every two weeks, PLUS bonuses/commissions.
I realize that someone like you already has a job, but, this job is way better! -partly because I understand your problem, and I strive to deliver what great employees really want and need:
- Freedom to spend extra time with each customer, to make sure they leave our store delighted.
- Enough time off with your family. Because an overworked, burned out employee is not the goal.
- Better pay, more opportunity. I believe in paying you more than average salary to start, and let you rise to the occasion and BE that level of employee. And then give you a path to rise as high as your skill and desire drives you to go.
JOINING THE TEAM:
This is a truly amazing job for the right person. No one here ever says, “that’s not my job.” We work together. We help each other, and we all succeed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Enthusiastic
- A multi-tasker
- Engaging and energetic
- Outgoing
- Proactive; You look for the things that need to be done.
- Trustworthy – don’t need micromanaging
- Work well with a team
- Work well alone
- A great sense of humor (the humorless will be fired!)
- Genuine heart for people
EDUCATION:
You don’t need to be able to do calculus and speak French.
But morons, whiners, lazy people and drama queens need not apply.
ATTITUDE:
Like we said, you can’t teach the right attitude. You’ve either got it, or you don’t.
Speaking of which, we greatly value thoroughness and the ability to focus, so we’re putting a special word in this paragraph to weed out sloppy people, half-hearted people, inattentive people and people without a sense of humor. Anyone skimming through job descriptions and blindly blasting out resumes won’t see this line. But you’re actually reading this job description, aren’t you? Nicely done. Put the word, “#HAPPYHERO” in the subject line of your reply, and I’ll give your resume the same respect you’ve given this job description. I’ll actually read it! Any application that does not have #HAPPYHERO in the subject line, will be printed out, wadded into a ball, and tossed into the trash via sky hook, nothing but net.
If you have the personality and natural abilities I’ve described AND can check off all those requirements? -reply via email and give me your story.
I’d like to hear a story, maybe about how you’ve gone above and beyond for a customer in the past or about how you handle working with teams of people. Maybe a story about what this job might mean to you and your family, and about what your goals are. Resumes don’t tell me much. Stories tell me who you are.
Once I get it I’ll read it over, and contact you if I’m ready to talk.
If you haven’t heard back in a week, you didn’t get the job. Sorry about that. But if you’re the right fit, this really is a place you can shine.
An amazing new opportunity might be an email away! I look forward to meeting you.
