Role Description The Shipping Coordinator/Customer Service role is a full-time, on-site position based in Lima, OH. This role is responsible for coordinating daily shipping activities, including preparing paperwork, scheduling carriers, verifying orders, and ensuring accurate and timely shipments. The position manages inventory movements related to outgoing goods, supports export documentation and compliance, and assists with basic warehouse tasks as needed. The Shipping Coordinator/Customer Service team member also responds to customer inquiries, provides shipment status updates, and collaborates with production, sales, and logistics partners to meet customer expectations. Accurate recordkeeping, attention to detail, and effective communication with internal stakeholders are essential to success in this role.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Shipping including preparing shipments, verifying documentation, and coordinating carriers.
- Experience providing professional, responsive Customer Service, including handling inquiries, resolving issues, and communicating order or shipment status.
- Proficiency in Inventory Control practices such as tracking stock levels, reconciling records, and supporting cycle counts.
- Familiarity with Export processes, documentation, and compliance requirements for domestic and international shipments.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Comfort using computers and business systems (e.g., shipping software, and Microsoft Office or similar tools).
- Effective verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; prior experience in manufacturing, logistics, or distribution is preferred.
