What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manager, Facilities/Maintenance position at Brownsville Independent School District?
Prerequisites:
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or related degree; or
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in heavy commercial building supervision, construction management, and/or operational management.
- Minimum of five (5) years experience in any of the following: construction, engineering, maintenance, facility planning and/or site acquisition,
- Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience in facility maintenance and construction
- Experience in HVAC systems, energy management, or public sector capital projects preferred
- Valid Texas Driver's License
Preferred:
- Architectural or Engineering License, registered in the State of Texas.
RESPONSIBILITY: The role of the Manager, Facilities/Maintenance is to oversee and review design working drawings and specifications and construction projects. The Facilities/Maintenance Manager will inspect and report construction progress and deficiencies. The Facilities/Maintenance Manager will provide and maintain inspection checklists to monitor job progress and close out documents. Field work will be mandatory. The Facilities/Maintenance Manager will communicate with architects and engineers concerning past, present, and future projects.
